The family announces with sorrow his passing in Sudbury on Monday, December 23rd, 2013 at the age of 79 years. Beloved husband of Ducilla (née Gloster) Blanchette. Son of the late Théodore and the late Valéda (née Tremblay) Blanchette. Loving father of Sidney “Sid” Blanchette (Micheline) of Sudbury, Andy (Deb) of Azilda, David (Reina Carr) of Sudbury and Lorraine Lacourcière (Ken Jonah) of Goulais River. Predeceased by his daughter Marilyn Blanchette and by his son Ted. Dear brother of Rhea Clement (late Rolly) and Diane Walker. Predeceased by his brothers Gerry, Leo (Pearl), Ted and Rheal. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Joel, Natalie, Carly, Cody, Lana, Margaret, Ted, Leigh and by 14 great-grandchildren. During his lifetime, he has fostered over 50 children. Aurel was a great Hab’s fan and hockey coach. He enjoyed spending time at his camps on Fox Lake and on Mesomikenda Lake. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 4691 R.R. 15, Chelmsford on Saturday, December 28th, 2013 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9:30 p.m. Donations (by cheque only) to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
