He spent his almost fifty year career as a miner mostly working for contractors, which allowed him to travel to a variety of places. The furthest journey brought him to a mine in Saudi Arabia which was one of his most memorable experiences that he talked about throughout his life. And one of his most cherished was his crew and the men that worked beside him at McCreedy West Mine. Thank you to all the guys that visited; it meant a lot to him. Alex was a funny, no BS kind of guy. A great father, a devoted & loving partner, a loyal friend and a tough fighter. His toughest fight was against cancer. He lived his life by his own rules and enjoyed every minute of his life with no regrets. We will miss you......... ""LISTEN"", at Alex's request there will be no service or visitation. Arrangements entrusted to the Lougheed Funeral Home.
