Peacefully passed away on Monday April 14, 2014 at the age of 83. Beloved husband of 63 years and best friend of Annie Muzyka (Katcher). Loving father of Peter Jr (Sue) of Windsor, and Todd (Whitney) of Garson. Special father-in-law to Claire Leclerc. Peter cherished his three grandchildren, Ashley, Melissa and Michael (Andrea Depaolis) who all brought warmth, humour and pride to his life every day. Peter will be missed by his canine companion Bo who he shared with his grandchildren. Beloved brother of Tilly (Henry) Prinoski, Andrew Muzyka (Louise), Nicholas Muzyka (predeceased)(Stella), Lena Janowski (Paul), (both predeceased), Annie (Sliworsky) Walter (both predeceased) and Nelli Muzyka. Special uncle to Victor (Pat) Janowski and Marcel (Liz) Janowski. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Peter was a miner at Inco for 33 years. He spent his retirement watching his grandchildren grow into beautiful adults and taking long walks with his companion Bo. Special thanks to the nurses and volunteers of the Chemotherapy department of the Cancer Centre who provided Peter with warmth and special treats at every visit, Oncologist Dr. Noble and Karen Green-Dwyer who provided guidance and support through Peter’s treatments, and in his final days, Dr. Knight, Dr. Kuchtaruk and the extraordinary nursing and PSW staff of 4-North. Their care of Peter, and warm welcome each time we arrived made each visit a little easier. “Each one of them is Jesus in disguise.”  ― Mother Teresa Resting at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch St., Sudbury, 6pm-8pm Tuesday with Panakhyda 7pm.
