In loving memory of Pearl Moir 91 years, who passed peacefully at St-Gabriel’s Villa on Sunday, April 13th, 2014. Loving wife of Bruce Moir (predeceased 2001). Beloved mother of Elaine Lynch (Dave), Wendy Gordon (Stewart) and Gail Landrie (predeceased 1992) (Don). Predeceased by siblings Jim, Earl, Tink, Ray, Ross and Marie. Cherished Grammie of Brad (Kim), Michael, Shannon (Wes), Travis (Katie) and Megan (Nathan). Very proud Great Grammie of Charlotte Pearl, Madeleine, Sawyer and Hudson. Mom was an accomplished seamstress. Her culinary skills were second to none. She had bowled and curled in Levack for many years. She later enjoyed watching baseball, hockey and curling on T.V. Mom was a life member of St-John’s United Church, life member and past president of the Legion Ladies Auxillary, Branch 503, Onaping. She was a volunteer driver for the Red Cross for over 15 years. Mom & Dad spent over 20 winters in Harlingen, Texas. Mom had a very positive attitude and outlook on life. She was grateful every day. She maintained her sense of humor and quick wit until her last breath. Yes Mom you are and always will be a “REAL GEM”. A sincere thank you to the staff at both Meadowbrook Retirement Village and St-Gabriel’s Villa Vermillion neighbourhood for the kind and gentle care she received. Donations (by cheque only) to St-Gabriel’s Villa, St-John’s United Church Levack, or to a charity of your choice would be appreciated. A private family service at Maplecrest Cemetery to be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, Chelmsford.
