In loving memory of Phyllis Marion Mills (nee Hannon), 70 years On Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at Health Sciences North, Sudbury. Beloved wife of Gerry predeceased 1989. Loving mother of Gary (Martha), Jay (Marianne), Laurie (Dave) and Kenny. Cherished grandmother of Megan, Kristy, Kaija, Josh, Leina, Pierce and Jenna who were the light of her life. Dear sister of Tom predeceased (Jean), Marg (Bob), Cavell (Ray predeceased), Barb (Wayne), Neta predeceased (Jim), Len (Bernice), Sharon (Arn), Debbie (Perry) and Judy (Jim). Special sister-in-law to the Mills family. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and special friends. Born in Bishop’s Falls, Newfoundland, Phyllis and Gerry moved to Sudbury in 1965. They found their home in Copper Cliff and became well known members of the community. Phyllis belonged to the Catholic Women’s League of St. Stanislaus Parish where she was also involved in the children’s liturgy and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Copper Cliff Royal Canadian Legion Branch 224. She was heavily involved with the Copper Cliff Minor Baseball in the 1980’s and was a true hockey mom. Phyllis worked at Copper Cliff Gardens for over 30 years. A devoted friend and a giving person she helped change the lives of many. After 25 years she joins her beloved husband in heaven, where together they can continue to be our Guardian Angels. Resting at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home 233 Larch St., Sudbury Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM Funeral service at St. Stanislaus Church, Copper Cliff On Saturday, April 19th, 2014 at 11 AM Interment in the St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Copper Cliff. Donations to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute would be appreciated by the family
