In loving memory of Ron Nerpin, of Onaping who passed away on Friday April 18th, 2014 surrounded by the love of his family. Dear son of Erma and the late Donald Nerpin of Chelmsford. Beloved husband of Jean MacLean (Garbutt). Proud father of Chuck and Leigh Ann (Maloney) Nerpin of Onaping, Christopher Nerpin of Sudbury, Rhonda and Kevin Anderson of Cartier, and Mandy Garbutt (Jeff Allair) of Onaping. Cherished grandfather to Skyler, Robbie and Peyton. Loving brother of Robert Nerpin and wife Connie of Dowling Jo Ann Pardy and the late Bert of Levack Jackie Wildgoose and husband John of Chelmsford Judy Besserer and husband Andy of Desbarates Joyce Jacobi and husband Rick of Barrie Russ Nerpin and wife Kim of Trenton Janet Nerpin of Chelmsford Dear son in law of Nick and Eileen MacLean (pre-deceased). Brother-in law of Larry MacLean and wife Linda of Onaping Lake Wayne and Clair MacLean (pre-deceased) Francis MacLean (pre-deceased) and wife Gay. Ron will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as countless friends, including his trapping buddy Dino Tracanelli. Ron was a kind man, and would offer the shirt off his back to anyone. Everyone around town knew Ron and enjoyed his sense of humour. Ron retired from Falconbridge in 2001. After he retired he relished hunting, trapping and fishing. He was the consummate outdoorsman and always had his canine companions. If he wasn’t at camp, Ron would be working at his garden or puttering away at some new project. He was happiest when outdoors and often said he’d be most content living at camp. Dad has gone to camp. A special thanks to the kind and compassionate staff of the 7th floor, North Tower at Health Sciences North, and the many friends who provided support, especially Bob and Sue Brightman. Cremation at Park Lawn Crematorium. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Northern Cancer Foundation would be greatly appreciated. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday May 3rd, 1-4 PM at the Onaping Legion, Branch 503, 3 James Street, Onaping Ontario. Arrangements entrusted to Lougheed Funeral Home.
