ALLARIE, J. Roger

1950-2014 After a courageous battle with cancer, it is with heavy hearts that his family announces his passing on Thursday, July 24th, 2014 at the age of 63. Beloved husband of 33 years to Colleen Allarie (nee Hennessy), loving father to Stacy Sathaseevan (Johnson) and Jason Allarie (Jessica) and step-father to Mona Martineau (Wayne), cherished ""Pappa"" to Grace and Avah Sathaseevan and step-grandpa to Britany Bibeau and Kayla Martineau, and best friend to Kiji who never left his side. Predeceased by his parents Gaston and Evelyn Allarie, his siblings Albert Allarie (late Gloria), Therese Matthieu (Marcel), Andre Allarie, and his dear nieces Suzie Martineau and Evy Friend. Survived by his siblings Annette Messier (late Albert), Lucien Allarie (Rosalie), Denis Allarie (Jeannine), Denise Melancon (late Gaston), Claudette Friend (late David), Pierre Allarie (Gloria), Gabrielle Rosenberger (late Terry), Carole Martineau (Lucien), his sisters in law Judy, Mary, Hazel and Darlene Hennessy as well as his many nieces and nephews. Roger was a long time member of the Knights of Columbus, council 8622. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury on Thursday, July 31st, 2014 from 7 to 9 p.m. and 9 to 10 a.m. on Friday. The funeral mass will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Church in Sudbury, Ontario. Interment will follow. Those wanting to make donations in Roger's name can do so (by cheque only) to the Maison Vale Hospice where he spent his last days in peace and dignity thanks to the loving staff.
