BELANGER, Gaetan 'Gates'

It is with deep sadness that the family announces Gates' death on July 27, 2014 at the age of 62 years. He is survived by his devoted wife Jackie (Rodrigue) Belanger, his beloved daughter Lise St. Marseille (Joel) and his cherished grandchildren Lia and Jace of Sudbury. Loving son of Ernest and Therese (Paradis) Belanger of Sudbury. Also survived by his siblings Normand (Yvonne), Denise Lapalme (Philippe), Monique Mimeault (Yvon) and Aline Belanger (Yvan predeceased). Gates will also be missed by many nieces and nephews as well as aunts, uncles and cousins. Gates lived his live to the fullest and was happiest when spending quality time with family and friends at his Sunshine Island home (West Arm). The Friday horseshoe gang will always remember his laughter and fun loving nature. No task was ever too big or complicated for Gates who always managed to MacGyver a solution to any problem. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd., Sudbury on Thursday July 31st from 4:00-9:00 pm. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday August 1, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at St-Jean-de-Brébeuf Church, Sudbury. In lieu of flowers, donations (by cheque only) to the Maison Vale Hospice would be greatly appreciated.
