In Loving Memory of Italia Pillon 85 years Thursday, August 21st, 2014 at Health Sciences North Daughter of Angelo and Maria Sandri (nee Tottane) both predeceased. Loving mother of Walter (Deborah) and Michael (Maria Crawford). Cherished Nonna of Stephen, Angela, Kristin, David, Michael, Bryan and Adam, and great grandchildren Callie, Kaya, Hailey, Logan, TJ, and Brooke. She is survived by her sisters; Katarina, Josephina, Maria and her brother Primo. She is predeceased by sister Lucia. Adored by Susan Parkes. She will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in Canada and in Italy. Italia came to Canada in December of 1958, where she settled in Sudbury with her family. She was a member of the Caruso Club and a long time resident of Casa Bella. She loved cooking for her family, playing bocce and cards with her friends. She was very proud to be Italian and passed the traditions onto her family that they will treasure and continue to pass down. Funeral Service at the Lougheed Funeral Home Saturday, August 30th, 2014 at 11:30 am(Friends may gather on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm and after 10:30 am on Saturday)Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium with Entombment at the Civic Mausoleum and in the family plot in Italy.Donations to the Northern Cancer Foundation and Health Sciences North Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
