FOURNIER, Gérald 'Gerry'

It is with deep sadness that the family announces his sudden passing on Wednesday, August 20th, 2014 at the age of 57 years. Born Gérald Charles Fournier, December 6th, 1956 to Raoul Fournier and Hélène Fournier (née Fournier) both predeceased. He will be missed by his older brother Raymond Fournier and his wife Diane of Hanmer who were always there for him, also his older sister Suzanne Bradley of Sudbury, who at all times had a listening ear for her brother and his dear little sister, whom he adored, Lise Gascon and her husband John of Lindsay, Ontario. Also, sadly missed by one niece Chantal Hutchinson and four nephews, Brian Bradley, Jamie Bradley (his godson), Steven Bradley, Fab Fournier and their partners and also seven great-nephews and one great-niece. He also leaves behind many friends and family. He will also be missed by his dear friend Lynn Grenier of Hanmer. Gerry was born in Sudbury but moved to Hanmer as a child. He was raised in Hanmer and attended Hanmer High. During his life he worked at Moose Mountain Mine, Lockerby mine and Sudbury Roofing. Gerry loved nature, sports and fishing. He will be remembered for his fun-loving personality and great sense of humour. Gerry was a kind soul. We have been blessed to have had this wonderful man in our lives. At Gerry’s request, there will be no public visitation or service. Arrangements entrusted to the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury. Donations (by cheque only) to the Canadian Mental Health Association would be appreciated.
