In Loving Memory  of  Peter William Schneider  August 30th, 1939 – September 10th, 2014. Peter, often called Mr. Music, died peacefully at home with his loving wife by his side, in his 75th year of generous life after losing a courageous battle with cancer.     He leaves in tears, his wife Lucette Schneider (née Carrère), his sons, Philip and Stephen both of Toronto, his half-sister, Joan Tomblin of Burlington and his step-sister, Sheila Tyndall of Sudbury. He was the step father of Ronald MacNeil (Melanie Checkeris) of Markham and Brian MacNeil (Lucie Dubé) of Markstay, and also granddad to Marie-Pier MacNeil and Audrée MacNeil of Sudbury. Peter was born Jerry Samuel Herman Gorr, son of Lila Elizabeth Gorr (predeceased). He was adopted at two months old by his cherished parents, Luria and William (Bill) Schneider (both predeceased). He also leaves behind, uncle Everett Muir of St. Mary’s, niece Michelle Shaw, grand-nephew, Jesse Shaw both of St. Catharines and brother-in-law, John Carrère (Micheline Esposito) of Montreal and his special cousin Marie Lennox-Derro. Peter was a devout Christian of St. Andrew’s United Church. A well respected and loved music teacher and consultant with the Sudbury Board of Education (Rainbow Board). He was an accomplished musician who taught various instruments to students at the junior level for 33 years. He was involved with numerous bands, school plays, and orchestras and the Sunday Bell Park Concert Series for 18 years  in the Sudbury Region.     Resting at the  Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home  233 Larch Street, Sudbury  (friends may call 2-5; 7-9 P.M. Sunday and after 10:30 A.M. Monday)  Funeral Service in the  R.J. Barnard Chapel  Monday, September 15th, 2014 at 11:30 A.M.  Cremation with interment in the family plot at Park Lawn Cemetery.  In Lieu of flowers donations to the Northern Cancer Foundation or Joan Mantle Music Trust Fund would be appreciated.
