NIEMIAHO, M. Kerttu (Kilpio)

In Loving Memory of Kerttu Niemiaho 85 years Peacefully September 17th, 2014 at Health Sciences North, after a courageous battle with cancer with her loving friends at her side. Beloved wife of Arnold Niemiaho (predeceased 2006). Sadly missed by her sister Kyllikki, nieces Sirpa and Anna and nephew Jukka. Remembered by her many cousins in Finland and predeceased by one brother. She will be missed by her special friends Glen Halonen of Thunder Bay, Ontario, Lucy Marcotte (Gerry), Glenna Absalom and her dear neighbor Selma Voliots all of Sudbury. Kerttu and Arnold travelled worldwide and all of Canada. She loved playing cards with her special Finnish friends, she enjoyed cooking, knitting, sewing and many crafts. Also picking her favorite blueberries and loved all her many canine friends. She was a resident of Finlandia Village. At Kerttu’s request there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium with internment of the ashes in Thunder Bay, Ontario. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date in Thunder Bay, Ontario .
