In Loving Memory of H. Ross Priddle 85 years, who passed away Thursday September 18th, 2014, at the Maison Vale Hospice, Sudbury. Beloved husband of 50 years of Carole Ann Priddle (nee MacNeill). Dear son of Humphrey and Winnifred “Peggy” (nee Cook) both predeceased. Loving father of Cathy, George (Lorrie) and David (Tanya). Proud and cherished grandfather of Torin, Jake, Eden, Cabot, and Liam. Dear brother of Norma Harper (Jay predeceased) and brother-in-law of Kent MacNeill predeceased (Judy), Raymond MacNeill (Yvonne), Bill MacNeill (Roberta), and Kevin MacNeill. Ross will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Ross enjoyed his family, reading, listening to music, hunting on the west end of Manitoulin, and being involved in sports. First with his children and now with his grandchildren: hockey, football, baseball “especially his Detroit Tigers” and golfing with his wife at Forest Ridge. Ross retired from INCO in 1985 after working at Levack mine for 34 years. Ross served several terms as a member of the Onaping Falls Recreation Committee, as well as, being a councillor for the Dowling Ward on the Town of Onaping Falls Council. In his younger years Ross coached and played baseball, as well as, umpiring for various leagues in the area. He also coached ringette with Cathy and travelled with George and David through the minor hockey system. Ross and Carole Ann travelled extensively in their retirement with their golf clubs, spending winters in Texas, then in Florida for 20 years. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Stephen the Martyr Church in Dowling, on Wednesday October the 8th, 2014 at 11am. (friends may gather at the church after 10:45am) Interment in Maple Crest Cemetery in Dowling to follow. In memory of Ross, donations to the Maison Vale Hospice or the Northern Cancer Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. Arrangements entrusted to the Lougheed Funeral Home, Sudbury.
