In Loving Memory of Mark Lambert On this day, tears of joy and sadness fall as we mourn the unexpected loss of a husband, father, brother, son and friend. Mark will be forever remembered by his wife and best friend of 26 years, Cathy (nee Markiewich) and his loving children Emily (friend Lee) and Ben, both at home. Roy and Diane Markiewich were not only his in-laws but also his friends. Dear brother-in-law of Frank and Lorna (niece Charlie, nephew Harrison) will also cherish the times that they spent together. Special nephew to Judy Markiewich-Tonos(Sammy predeceased) and Shirley Rowe (Ron predeceased). Mark leaves behind his mom Audrey Lambert and father Harold (predeceased). Ties with his family were kept close. He will be sadly missed by his sister Carole Hay of Ottawa (niece Sarah, nephew Daniel), Scott of Oakville (wife Karey and nephews Max and Sam) and Geoff (Edmonton). Mark will also be missed by his close cousins Sandy and Karen, aunts, uncles, neighbours and coworkers. Mark loved his time at camp, where he would lend a helping hand. When work was done, Mark kicked back and relaxed by the water with his friends. At home, he also enjoyed the countless hours sitting in the backyard listening to music with his family. When he wasn’t hauling rocks for his wife, he was filling his birdfeeders. Weekends were a busy time for Mark. Saturdays, Mark filled his role as the “runner” at the Ukrainian Hall, getting orders of perohy and holubsti, while catching up with “the boys”. Sundays Mark was tuned in early in the morning to the Formula One Races, where he would cheer on his favourite team “McLaren”. After the race, it was time to have “coffee time with Dido”. He liked taking walks with his “little girl” Jazzie through the pond. Mark was a proud dad in the stands, cheering Ben “Smoochie” on while he played hockey. When it was time for Emily “Coobie” to dance, he was always clapping the loudest in the audience, again to show how proud of a dad he was. Mark and Cathy also enjoyed having friends over for get-togethers where they nestled by the fire, gathered in the hot tub or sat in the garage and made new memories. Although this is a loss for all who knew him, Mark would want everyone to remember him for the love that he had for his family and friends, his positive attitude and belief that “everyone deserves to be happy.” Funeral Service in the R.J.
