In loving memory of  Dirk Scanlan 59 years With family by his side on Sunday, September 21st, 2014 at Health Sciences North. Beloved son of Basil Scanlan (predeceased) and Georgette Scanlan (nee Bradley) of North Bay. Loving brother of Paula Lapko (Chris) of Sudbury, Glenn (Karen Nesbitt) of Kirkland Lake and Tim (Claire) of Ottawa. Cherished uncle of Jade (Keith Glibbery), Caroline Denomme (Jonathan Duquette), James Scanlan (Kristin), Kent Scanlan, Vincent Scanlan and great uncle of Gavin, Jonas, Liam, Oliver, Halle and Neve. Dirk was a happy go lucky man. He lived his life his way and wouldn’t have changed a thing. He will be missed by all who knew him. Memorial donations to the Lung Association or to the Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated by the family. There will be no funeral visitation or service. Cremation at Park Lawn Crematorium. Arrangements entrusted to the Lougheed Funeral Home.
