HALABISKI, Marie (Albert)

In loving memory of Marie Halabiski (nee Albert) 74 years Friday, September 26th, 2014 at Lakeridge Hospital in Oshawa. Beloved wife of Edward Halabiski predeceased. Loving mother of Tracy (Kassendra) and Christina (Kevin Wright) both of Oshawa. Cherished grandmother of Curtis, Brandon, Braden and Mitchell. Dear sister of Arger (Annette), Edith (Raymond Paradis) Martina Chiasson, Leona Landry and predeceased by Atise, Stephane, Zena, Eusebe, Rino, Leona and Gilberte. Daughter of Pascal and Roseanne Albert both predeceased. The focus of Marie’s life was her loving family, especially her precious grandchildren.  Marie was from the Caraquet, New Brunswick area, she taught school in New Brunswick before coming to Ontario. She then went to nursing school and worked until retirement in 1999. “Baba” as everyone knew her led a simple life she didn’t experience a life of wealth or power. She will not be remembered for any remarkable, world shattering invention. She was a lot like the rest of us. She had her close circle of family and friends and that was enough for her. Resting at the  Lougheed Funeral Home Hanmer/Capreol Chapel 4605 Michelle Dr., (at Hwy 69 N), Hanmer Monday from 7 to 9 PM Funeral mass at St. Kevin’s Church, Val Therese Tuesday, September 30th 2014 at 11 AM Interment at the Valley East Cemetery.
