SERRÉ, Paulette (Roy)

The family announces with great sorrow her passing at home in Hanmer on Friday, September 26th, 2014 at the age of 48 years after a long battle with cancer.  Beloved wife of Ronald Serré of Hanmer. Cherished daughter of Suzanne (née Pitre) St-Pierre (Donald) of Sudbury and of the late Gérard Roy.  Loving mother of Patrick Serré (friend Sarah), Josée Serré (friend Randy) and Matthieu Serré (friend Jessica) all of Hanmer. Dear sister of Roland Roy (Bonnie) of Oxford Mills, Denise Sheppard (Steve) of Sudbury, Guy Roy (Abby) of Barrie and step-sister of Michel St-Pierre (Debbie) of Capreol, Daniel St-Pierre of Parry Sound and Don St-Pierre (Stefanie) of Val Caron. Lovingly remembered by her best friend and cousin Carol Austin, as well as by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.  Sadly missed by her canine companion “Princess”. Special thanks to Dr. Cano, nurse Suzanne and to Amanda from Bayshore.  She touched many lives in her 25 year teaching career. Paulette will be sadly missed by colleagues and students alike.  She had an artistic nature.  Paulette had a passion for crafting.  She loved scrapbooking, card making, jewelry making, painting, home decorating and so much more.  She also loved yard saling.  Both Ron and Carol will miss Saturday morning excursions.  The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 4570 St-Joseph St., Hanmer, Friday, October 3rd, 2014, from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9:30 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 11 a.m. in St-Jacques Church, Hanmer. Donations (by cheque only) to the Northern Cancer Foundation would be appreciated.
