In Loving Memory of  Edward Melville Patton 72 years Sunday, September 28th, 2014 at his home unexpectedly.  Beloved husband of Jocelyn Patton. Loving father of David (Laura), Jody Naves (Tony) and Jeffrey; step-father to Mark Kerr-Taylor (Lisa Ross). Special father to Michael (Jennifer) Collins. Cherished grandfather to Felicity, Cameron, Bodie, Meliya, Cassandra and Matthew. Loving son of Margaret Patton. Dear brother of Margaret Ann (Greg) Watson. Dear uncle to Melanie, Brandon and Kate and great uncle of Aubree. Special son in law to Alexandra Harris. Dear brother in law to Susan (Claude, nephews Jason and Neil), Tracey (niece Alexia) and Kirby. Predeceased by his father Melville, brother Elwyn and brother in law Stephen.  Ed had a distinguished career with Canadian General Electric, INCO, ABB, Metalec, EMPTech North and Proax as an electrical specialist supplying services and equipment to the mining, pulp and paper, steel industries and municipalities for almost 50 years. He was Past Chairman and Secretary and awarded CIM Fellowship in 2013. Ed was a dedicated Mason and Shriner. He was a member of Wellington Square Lodge #725, Algonquin Lodge#536 (Worshipful Master 2002 and 2007), Rameses Shriners and Sudbury Shrine Club-President2010, Director General 2014 Rameses Spring Ceremonial. Ed will be sorely missed by family, friends, co-workers and clients.  Resting at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home 233 Larch Street, Sudbury (Friends may call 4-8 P.M. Friday with a Masonic Service at 7:00 P.M. Friday under the auspices of the Algonquin Lodge #536 AF&AM) Funeral Service in the St. Andrew’s United Church, 111 Larch Street, Sudbury Saturday, October 4th, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. In lieu of flowers donations to the Shriner’s Hospitals for Children Canada would be appreciated.
