TOMAC, George

In Loving Memory of George Tomac (1923 – 2014) in his 91st year. Born in Vinica, Slovenia, died peacefully with family at his side at Health Sciences North on September 30th, 2014.  Beloved husband  of Sylvia (Slavi)(Milinkovich). Loving father of Susan, Judi and John (Gisele). Cherished grandfather of Steven, Brian and Jason (Tanya). He leaves behind his sister Mary Stadnyk (Caledon). Special uncle to several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Peter and Mary, and brothers Stan, Peter, Joe and Louis.   Special thanks to Dr. Sawkiw and Simone for years of wonderful care, as well as Dr. A. McDonald, Dr. McElhaney, nurses and staff on the 6th Floor South Tower for their compassion and care these past 3 weeks.  Family will receive friends on Saturday, October 4th, after 12:30 P.M. with a service to follow in the R.J. Barnard Chapel at 1:30 P.M. with reception to follow at 2:00 P.M. Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home 233 Larch Street, Sudbury Cremation with interment in the Civic Memorial Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers donations to the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated.
