In Loving Memory of Violet Tillie (Tokaryk) Pevato R.N. 76 years  Tuesday, October 14th, 2014 at Health Sciences North, Sudbury.  Beloved wife of 54 years to Leo Pevato.  Loving mother of Dina Greene (Michael), Sherry Hartmann (Richard)  and Kevin Pevato (Shauna). Cherished Baba of Tess, Cole, Addison, Brenna and Nicholas. Dear daughter of John and Olga (Dines) Tokaryk.  Dear sister in law of Ines Pevato.  Violet was born and raised in Sudbury and  a graduate of Creighton Mine Public School, Copper Cliff High School, and Sudbury Marymount School of Nursing where she was class valedictorian in 1959.  Violet was employed with the Sudbury General Hospital on the 2nd floor as the Pediatrics and Nursing Student Instructor, and was also employed with Sudbury Memorial Hospital on the Pediatric Floor, as well as the Head Nurse of the Emergency Department and Department Head of Health Records.  She retired in 1993 and always looked forward to the annual nurses classmates reunion.  Violet enjoyed many hobbies including being a seamstress, master chef, knitting, art, a fabulous hostess for family gatherings and friends.  Violet was a 50 year member of the Catholic Women’s League of St. Michael’s Creighton, St. Pius Lively, and St. Stanislaus Copper Cliff.  She was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Church in Copper Cliff. During her 8 year illness and battle with Rheumatoid Arthritis every Sunday Violet enjoyed visits by Dina, Tess, Cole, and Addie.  The family sincerely thanks ALL medical providers that assisted during Violet’s illness.  Resting at Lougheed Funeral Home, 252 Regent Street at Hazel St. (Friends may call from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Friday) with parish prayers at 3:30 p.m.  Funeral Mass in St. Stanislaus Church, 78 Balsam St. Copper Cliff Saturday, October 18th, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Interment in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Donations to the Arthritis Society or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
