RICHER, A. Cécile (Gervais)

It is with deep sadness the family announces that Cécile Aline Richer (nee Gervais), peacefully passed on October 16, 2014 at the Caressant Care Nursing Home on McLaughlin Rd in Lindsay, ON at the great age of 91.    Loving wife of Claude Richer (predeceased) and cherished partner of Alfie Gauthier (predeceased).      Beloved mother of Raymond (Suzanne) and Claudette (Leon Brisson).      “Mémére” was deeply loved by her eight grandchildren Carole (Rick Benner), Louise, Lucille, Micheal, Yvonne (predeceased), Rose-Marie (Daniel Gour), Robert (Nicole) and Claude, and by her eight great-grandchildren Jeff, Luke, Nadia, Alexandre, Philippe, Jeremie, Joanne and Courtnee.     Deeply treasured by her extended Gauthier family Roland (Brenda), Donald (Nicole), Conrad (Carole), Michel (Maria) and Pauline.     Dearly remembered by her sisters Gabrielle (Aldace Lacelle) & (Denis Boudreau), Mathilda (Frederic Lavallée), brothers Armand (Florianne), and Hermas (Thérèse).     Predeceased by her brothers John, Aurel (Marie-Anna), Marcel (Gilberte), and her sisters Aurore (Aurelle Fournier) & (Jack Rylance), Hélène (Theodare Pellerin), and Emma (Raoul Laurence).     Cécile’s numerous nieces and nephews and her many countless friends will cherish her memories forever.     Cécile’s passion in life was spending time with her family, visiting friends, travelling and gardening. She was the oldest relative who attended “la Réunion de les Gervais” for 21 years.      The family is thankful for the great care and compassion Cécile received from all the wonderful staff at the Caressant Care Nursing Home.     In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Cécile’s Life will take place at a later date; arrangements entrusted to the Cooperative Funeral Home, 222 Lasalle Blvd., Sudbury, ON.      Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family as expressions of sympathy.     To light a memorial candle, flowers, donations or messages of condolences available on-line at   www.cooperativefuneraire.ca or www.bensonfuneralhomes.com.
