PILON, Fernande (Couture)

It is with great sorrow that the family announces her passing in Sudbury on Tuesday, October 21st, 2014 at the age of 88 years. Predeceased by her parents Louis and Sarah (née Fournier) Couture. Wife of the late Alphonse Pilon. Loving mother of Ghislaine Séguin (Léo Paul), Florian (late Diane), Adrienne Lemieux (Donald), Julie Mills, Marianne Theriault (Laurent) and Norman. Dear sister of Ovila (Lorraine) and Claudette Sabourin (late Guy). Predeceased by her other siblings; Carmen,Fernand and Paul. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Fernande enjoyed working in her flower gardens and loved music. We are certain she is in heaven right now singing and dancing with her beloved husband. In keeping with Fernande’s wishes there will be no visitation. A funeral service will be held at the Cooperative Funeral Home, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury on Friday, October 31th, 2014 at 1 p.m. in the funeral home Chapel. The interment will follow at the Lasalle R.C. Cemetery.The family is thankful for the great care and compassion Fernande received from the wonderful nursing and care staff at Extendicare Falconbridge and also wishes to express a very heartfelt thank you to Dr. Andre Roch. In lieu of flowers, donations in Fernande’s memory can be made (by cheque only) to the Alzheimer Society (Sudbury Chapter).
