In Loving Memory of George Aho (C.L.U.) After a hard fought battle with pancreatic cancer, his journey ended on November 19th, 2014 at the age of 75, with his family at his side.  Beloved husband of Madeleine (Lafond), wife of 48 years. Loved father of Paul (Diana) and Pauline Guerra (Anthony) of Texas. Cherished and proud grandfather of Carl and Victoria Aho, Austin, Nathan and Morgan Guerra. He also leaves behind his sister Ingrid Saikonen of Lindsay. He is predeceased by his sister Anita (Simola) and parents Alfred and Tynne(nee Jokelin) Aho. Brother in law of Diane MacCumber (Murray), Donald Lafond (Susan), Robert Lafond (Connie), Laurelle St. Amant (Neil, predeceased) and Marcel (Tracey Gilles). Will be missed by 16 nieces and nephews and their families. Predeceased by loving father in law Roger Lafond and mother in law Beatrice Lafond (Labelle). George worked for London Life Insurance for 28 years and was respected by his many clients. After retirement he moved permanently to his cherished lake house until failing health necessitated a move to the city. George volunteered with the Kukagami Campers’ Association and Cops Program. For leisure, he enjoyed some golf, curling with the seniors and snowmobiling. Fishing and cruising Matagamasi Lake in the summer was high on his priority list. Moose hunting was an activity he looked forward to annually. George had a passion for picking berries, especially blueberries, which he frequently donated to friends who were unable to pick for themselves. As recently as July 2014, George had to “pick blueberries for the disabled”. He leaves behind a legacy of honesty and integrity and caring for people. He will be missed by many.   We would like to thank the Northeastern Regional Cancer Treatment Centre, Dr. Cano and Dr. Knight, Dr. Singh and Dr. Slaney. We would also like to thank all of the staff and volunteers at the Maison Vale Hospice for the care and compassion. Special thank you to all who took the time to visit while he was still with us.  Resting at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home 233 Larch Street, Sudbury (Friends may call 2-5; 7-9 P.M.
