The family announces with great sorrow Bill's passing at home in Sudbury, on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at the age of 60 years.  He was surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Paulette (Marier) for 40 years. Loving father of David (Louisa) of Lively. Cherished grandfather of Alex, Ethan and Logan. Dear son of Gordon and Ruth of Sudbury. Dear twin brother of Bob (Alison), and brother of Wendell (Anne), Bruce (Carole) and sister Wanda Kett, all from Sudbury. He will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. His best friend and canine companion was Misha (deceased Sept 8, 2014). Bill’s life was ended short from his battle with cancer. Bill was a well known man within the construction and contractors' community. He was well-known for his professional skills and dedication in completing any job to its perfection. Bill purchased his first hauling truck in 1987 with which he established Bill Tait Backhoe and Truck Rental Company. In the winter season, Bill loved to plow which sometimes ended up being very challenging. He enjoyed early morning conversations with the guys to catch up on the latest news of the city. He also made many close friends over the years. Bill always enjoyed the simple things in life, especially Saturday night cold ones with his family and friends. The family would like to sincerely thank Dr. Mark Dubé for his support and home visits, to Betty-Ann from Bayshore for her kindness and compassion and to all of the family and friends who visited him at home during his last days. Special thank you to Suzanne (Paulette's sister), to Melissa (niece) and Louisa (daughter-in-law) for their unwavering support, care and dedication for Bill's 24 hour care and support for David and Paulette.
