Fondly remembered by cousins Rosemary Culos and Giovanni Pasutto, nephews Giuseppe (Joe), Christopher and Claudio Manzon, niece Manuela Calligaris and their families. Special nephew to Angela and Antonio Culos predeceased. Dear friend to Floyd and Joan McMullan of Oshawa. Survived by a large extended family in Italy, Switzerland and Germany. Born in Sesto al Reghena, Pordenone, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Italy, Nick grew up in the Town of Valvasone. An avid soccer player in his youth who later played for the Italia Flyers, he also served with the Alpini, the elite mountain infantry of the Italian Army. Following his training as a carpenter, Nick emigrated to Canada in 1957. He went on to become a successful and respected general contractor after moving to Sudbury in 1961 (Norco Construction, Mancar Builders). He was a proud member of Sudbury’s Furlan community, the Caruso Club, St. Patrick’s Church and an active Gruppo Alpini member. In his spare time, Dad had a passion for soccer and Formula 1. But most of all he loved and supported his family, and we in turn loved and cherished him. Despite his advanced age, he was still going into his office everyday. He always had a smile on his face, loved to tell the odd joke and had a laugh that was contagious. His face especially lit up when he saw his grandchildren. The family expresses their appreciation to the staff at CCAC and Bayshore for their assistance during his brief but difficult illness.
