The family announces with great sorrow his passing in Sudbury on Monday, December 15, 2014 at the age of 79 years. Predeceased by his parents Eugene and Omerile (née Ross) Poitras. Predeceased by his siblings Léo (Rose), Georges, Adelia Dupuis, Anna Laplante (late Gérard), Lucien, (Jeannette of Hanmer), Gérald (Rachelle of Hanmer) and Walter. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews and extended family members. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will follow 8 p.m in the funeral home Chapel, Sudbury. As expressions of sympathy, donations (by cheque only) to Northern Cancer Foundation would be appreciated.
