In Loving memory of Daniel Barriault, 51 years, who passed away peacefully at his residence in Val Therese on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of Colette (née Leblanc) high school sweethearts, married for 28 years. Loving father of Kevin (Shannon) and Stephanie (Patrick Lagace). He was also a very special “Pépé” to his grandsons Noah, Kohan and Karson. Dan was a devoted family man who was loved by everyone he encountered. He was Colette’s “Sweetie”, his friendly smile and his sense of humour is what encapsulated his personality. Dan was an avid outdoorsman who loved to spend time hunting, fishing and enjoying the trails with his quad or sled. Dan was passionate about everything he did and made sure he never cut corners. He was a hardworking man and loved to go to work every day at Petro Canada. He was predeceased by his parents Wilfred & Corinne and brother Mike. He will also be greatly missed by his siblings Oliver (Judy), Colette (Cleo Seguin), Rolly, Ron (Joan), Norm (Gaetanne). Dear son-in-law of Ray Leblanc (Patricia) and brother-in-law of Ray Leblanc Jr. (Shannon) from Sherwood Park, Alberta, Michelle (Roger Ferron) and Angele (Steve DeSantis). Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. The family would like to send their sincere gratitude to the physicians who assisted throughout his illness Dr. Paul Malette, Dr. Khomani and Dr. Knight. Many thanks as well to the supportive staff at HSN Sudbury 4th Floor, Cancer Treatment Center, Amanda from Bayshore and Greg, Robert & Nishi from Pharmasave, Hanmer. The family will receive friends at 11 am for a Memorial Mass on Saturday, January 24th, 2015 at Ste Marguerite D’Youville, Val Therese, followed by a reception in the church hall for a celebration of life. In lieu of monetary donations, we ask that you give the “ultimate gift of life” by donating blood to the Canadian Blood Services.
