CAMPEAU-STRACHAN, Marcelle

The family announces with sorrow, her death at Pioneer Manor on Monday, January 19, 2015 at the age of 86 years. Daughter of the late Alex and the late Alexina (nee Clement) Taylor. Beloved wife of the late Laurent Campeau (1974) and the late Norman Strachan (1999). Loving mother of Yves (wife Yvette), Jacques (wife Marie-Paule) both of Westarm and Lise Campeau-Fleury of Sudbury. Stepmother to Norm’s daughters Laurette of Newmarket and Michele of Toronto. Dear sister of Orillia Dufresne (late Bill), Reina Connors (husband Stan) and Pauline Taylor. Predeceased by her sisters Cecile Dallaire (late Adrien), Therese Prevost (late Rodolphe), Rejeanne Clement (late Claude) and her brother Albert. Cherished grandmother of Christine Bona (Keith), Josee Rousselle (Marc), Maxine Vigneault (Luc Lafontaine), Danika Fleury (partner Alex Cosher), Dominique Chretien (Yves), Natalie Flores (Ivan), Matthiew Shasky, Lesley and Zachary Zanella. Great-grandmother of Taylor, Emily, Jonah, Max, Zach, Dania, Caleb, Rosalie, Dimitri, Violette and Sebastien. Marcelle ran a successful heating business with husband Laurent and later was a secretary with Le Centre Des Jeunes de Sudbury until her retirement. Marcelle was an avid gardener and enjoyed many years at her cottage on French River. Her greatest joy was having her family over for great dinner gatherings. Special thanks to Dr. Maurice St-Martin and the staff of the 2nd floor (Lodge) of Pioneer Manor for their kind and compassionate care. Also, special thanks to Father Jean-Paul Jolicoeur. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury on Friday, January 23, 2015 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 a.m. at St-Jean-de-Brébeuf Church, Sudbury. Donations (by cheque only) to the St-Jean-de-Brébeuf restoration fund or the Maison Vale Hospice will be greatly apprciated. “IN HEAVEN I WILL BE REUNITED WITH FAMILY MEMBERS AND LOVED ONES”
