The family announces with great sorrow his passing in Sudbury at the Finlandia Village on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at the age of 84 years. Beloved husband of Pauline Groulx (née Dubuc) of Sudbury. Son of the late Oscar and Annette (née Poulin) Groulx. Loving father of Nicole Groulx (Grant Dussiaume) and Richard Groulx (Allison Sampson). Cherished grandfather of Stéphanie Lalonde (Ivan Robichaud), Maxine Quesnel (Michel), Sophie Lalonde (Jeff Treleaven), Alex Groulx, David Groulx and great-grandfather of Émilie and Sébastien. Dear brother of Mariette Prosper (late Ernest), Jeanine Lachance (late Armand), Maria Roy (Roma), Léo-Paul Groulx (Marguerite Blanchette), Aurel Groulx (late Diane Dubuc) and Rhéal Groulx (Linda Roy). Predeceased by his brothers and sisters Adrienne Gratton (late Wilfrid), Adrien Groulx, Lucienne Trottier (late Aurel), Aurélienne Roy (Denis), Julienne Joliat (late Richard), Georges Groulx (Paulette Tessier) and Richard Groulx. Aurélien was a very kind, lovable quiet man who enjoyed spending time with family and grandchildren. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved spending time at the cottage, fishing, hunting and gardening. He was very crafty and a “Big Habs” fan. In keeping with his wishes there will be no visitation. A funeral service will be held at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME Chapel, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury, on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 11 a.m. Donations (by cheque only) to the Finlandia Hoivakoti Nursing Home would be appreciated.
