MARTIN, Ida (Courchesne)

After a long battle with cancer Ida passed away on January 18th, 2015, in Ottawa at the age of 73 years. Beloved daughter of the late Aurilia and Arthur Courchesne of Alban. Loving wife of the late Raymond Gordon and the late Aimé Martin. Dear mother of Carole Barrette (Yvan Barrette) and Daniel Gordon (Dan Donaldson). Dear grand-mother of Éric Barrette (Annie-Michelle) and great grand-mother of Audric and Loïc Barrette. Dear step mother to late Wayne Martin (Louise and son Joshua). Cherished sister of Hector (Thérèse), Rhéo (Michelle), Albert (Lilliane), Yvette Bisaillon, Aimé (Reina), Aurel (Colette), Réjean (Claire), late Raymond (Jeanne d’Arc), Claude (Lorraine), late Noël (Denise), Gérard (Lise), Roland (Françoise), and Lucille (Lucien Séguin). Survived by her in-laws Romaine Lasalle, Betty Zmijouszki, George Gordon (Lynne), René Martin and Jean Martin. Wonderful aunt and great aunt to her many nieces and nephews. A good and close friend to many people. Ida was a beautiful and giving person who always smiled, enjoyed meeting new people and trying new adventures. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends but her memories will be remembered and kept forever in our hearts. May her new journey bring her peace and comfort.
