In Loving Memory of John-Michael Portelance Passed away at the age of 22 on Friday, January 23rd, 2015. He was the beloved son of Roddy and Yoko (Goto). Loving brother of Shizuka (Ben) Pehling, Kiyoshi (Portion) Mitsuishi, Christopher-James, Nakita, David-Paul, Mattias, Mark-Alexander all of Sudbury. Cherished nephew of Uncle Michael, Aunt Lucy and Aunt Susie. Dear cousin of Daniel (Daniela), Mitchell and Neil. Sadly missed by Uncle Don, Aunt Rose and family. John-Michael genuinely fulfilled his role as the eldest son of his family. He was selfless, pure hearted and expressed true love for others. He excelled academically, enjoyed music and dance, and had a passion for capturing and editing videos, spending many long nights creating priceless memories for his family. John-Michael was never afraid to challenge himself and would always strive to get the most out of life. He will be remembered most by his bright smile and free spirit. Resting at the Lougheed Funeral Home 252 Regent Street at Hazel Street (Friends may call 2-9 P.M. Wednesday with parish prayers at 7:30 P.M.) Funeral Mass in St. Patrick’s Church, 39 Walford Road, Sudbury Thursday, January 29th, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. Interment in the Civic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the John-Michael Portelance Trust Fund would be appreciated.
