GAUTHIER, R. Ronald

In loving memory of Ronald Raymond Gauthier (May 22, 1938 - February 28, 2015) at the age of 76. Son of the late Arthur and Irene (nee Paquette) Gauthier. Beloved father of Robert of Sudbury and Denis (Rebecca) of Sudbury. Predeceased by his brother Lucien of Sudbury. Dear brother of Gerald (Mona) of Sturgeon Falls. Cherished grandfather of Vanessa. He was a teacher for the Sudbury Board of Education for 37 years where he was a leader with the initiation of our French Immersion Program at the Secondary Level. Ron taught at Espanola S. S., Confederation S. S., Lockerby C. S. and Lasalle S. S.. His passions were reading, traveling, baseball and spending time with his granddaughter. Heartfelt thank you goes out to the staff of St. Gabriel’s Nursing home for their attentive personal care. Memorial Visitation at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home 233 Larch Street, Sudbury (Friends may call Wednesday from 2-5pm and 7-9pm and after 10:30am on Thursday) Memorial Service will be held in the R.J Barnard Chapel on Thursday March 5th, 2015 at 11:30am. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. Interment in the St. Charles Cemetery in the Spring. In lieu of flowers, donations to Northern Parkinson’s Foundation would be appreciated.
