The family wishes to announce with sorrow the passing of Carolyn Margaret Spencer nee Campbell in her 71st year following a lengthy illness at Sudbury Health Sciences North on February 28th, 2015. Born in Bass River, Kent County, New Brunswick on June 23rd, 1943 to Irma Campbell and lovingly raised and cherished by Daniel and Emma Campbell. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Vincent Spencer and two cherished daughters, Beverley Packham (Andre Ranger) and Dawn Rorison (Bruce Williamson) of Sudbury, Ontario . She also had two other children, sadly predeceased at birth, Tracy Leigh and Harold Daniel. She is also survived by four beloved grandchildren, Amanda Byrne (Kevin), Ryan Packham, Bill Rorison Jr., and Chelsea Rorison. She was also blessed with two great grandchildren Isabelle Emma Leigh and Olivia Carolyn Byrne. She is also survived by family from New Brunswick whom she loved as brothers and sisters, Willah Ryan, Olive Ward (Walter), Lois McDermott (Freeman), Gary Ryan (Sheila), George Ryan (Shirley), Daniel Ryan, Leonard Ryan and Robert Ryan (Brenda). She was predeceased by sisters Winnie and Cynthia, and brothers David, George, Edward and Donald Campbell. She was also loved by many brother and sister in laws throughout her 52 years of marriage. She was a member of the Canada Post Heritage Foundation after 32 years with Canada Post from 1970 – 2002. She enjoyed her little spot of heaven on earth known as Lake Manitou on Manitoulin Island where she spent many summers with family and friends. She also enjoyed her short time with Reverend Dan Reeves and wife Susan, and all her church family (Calvin Presbyterian) whom always kept her in their thoughts and prayers. At Carolyn’s request there will be no visitation or service. Cremation. Any donations can be made in the memory of Carolyn Spencer to the Calvin Presbyterian Church, 1114 Auger Street, Sudbury, ON P3A 4B2 or St. Marks’ Presbyterian Cemetery, 7739 Route 116, Bass River, NB E4T 1L2 Arrangements entrusted to the Lougheed Funeral Home.
