In Loving Memory of William “Bill” Ryan 70 years. Passed peacefully, Tuesday, March 3rd, 2015 at Health Sciences North with his loving wife of 48 years at his side. Beloved husband of Florence (Robitaille) Ryan. Loving father of Sherri-Lynn (husband Kevin Jensen). Cherished grand-papa of Emma. Dear son of Gerald and Lillian (O’Link) Ryan predeceased. Brother of Garry Ryan. Special brother in law to Jean and Jackie Joanisse, Fern and Cecile Rivet, John and Margo Bourré. Sadly missed by loving nieces and nephews. Bill was a passionate and well respected advocate for the prevention of senior abuse, having served as the Chair of the Sudbury Elder Abuse Committee and then the Chair of the Ontario Network for the Prevention of Elder Abuse. He was an accomplished machinist, an avid outdoorsman and a Good Samaritan to all in need. The focus of Bill’s life was his loving family especially his precious granddaughter Emma who was the apple of his eye. Funeral Service in the Lougheed Funeral Home 252 Regent Street at Hazel Street Sunday, March 8th, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium.
