HOMSEY, Rosella 'Sis'

Rosella “Sis” Homsey passed away on Thursday, March 5th, 2015 at Extendicare Falconbridge at the age of 86. She was born in Bruno, Saskatchewan to Rose and George Gerling (predeceased). In 1951 she came to Sudbury where she met her husband Morland (Morley) Homsey (predeceased 1973). Sis was predeceased in 1999 by her friend and companion Mike Mullen. Also predeceased were her three brothers and three sisters. Left to mourn are her daughter Judy (Bob) Willgos, her goddaughter Janet Gudel, and sister Marion Krentz. Aunt Sis or MaTante had a special place in her heart for her many nieces and nephews, surviving. Rosella was a thoughtful, determined, hard working person who was employed at several coffee shops in downtown Sudbury. Gratitude is expressed to all the Staff at Extendicare Falconbridge for their excellent care and patience. Funeral Service in the R. J. Barnard Chapel Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home 233 Larch St., Sudbury Sunday, March 8th, 2015 at 3pm. (Friends may gather after 2pm Sunday). Cremation with interment in the family plot at the Sudbury Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
