CHAMBERLAND, Lucille (GAGNON)

It is with broken hearts that her three beloved daughters announce the passing of their cherished mother on Saturday March 21, 2015 after a short but valiant battle with cancer. Lucille was the beloved wife of Fernand “Charlie” Chamberland (predeceased 1975) and Gérard “Gerry” Simard (predeceased 2007). Adored mother of Diane Charbonneau (Marcel), Hélène Chartrand (Bob), Nicole Gagnon (Daniel “Doc”) and treasured stepmother of Serge Simard (Claire) and Normand Simard. Memère was at her Heaven on earth when surrounded by her grandchildren: Charlie (Nicole), Daniel (Stéphanie), Craig (Emily), Derrick (Jennifer), Anyse (Ben) and Danyka. Her step-grandchildren Annie (Martin), Marc-André (Caroline), Mathieu, Bruno and Audray may have been separated by distance but not love. Her circle of love was completed with her great-grandchildren: Zoé, Maeva, Alexandre, Annabel, Alex, Laurence, Gabriel, Eve-Marie and Devon. Lucille was one of 11 children born to Corinne (Miron) and Julien Gagnon (both predeceased). Predeceased by her siblings Yvette Leduc (late René), Roger Gagnon, Claudette Robillard (Royal) and Monique Foisey (Gerry). Beloved sister of Bernard Gagnon, Lorraine Murchie (Carl), Gaëtan Gagnon (Sylvia), Suzanne Malone, Richard Gagnon (Carole) and Robert Gagnon (Lise). Loved sister-in-law of the Chamberland family: late Armand (Louise), late Normande Beaudry, late Georgette Beaulieu (Jean-Marc), Jeannine Zinger (Jim), Lorraine John (late Reg), Gerry (Mary) and Bernie (Claudia). Beloved by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, friends and special best friend Yollande “Yo” Giguère. Lucille leaves behind a rich legacy of family values which have been instilled in her daughters and will never be forgotten. Mom enjoyed many years of happiness at her camp on Nepewassi Lake. The family extends their sincere appreciation to her “angel” nurses for their exceptional care: Catta, Marie-Thérèse and Jemima. A special thank you to Carmen and Dr. Robert Séguin. Mass of Christian burial will take place on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the St-Jean de Brébeuf Church, Sudbury. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Sam Bruno PET Scanner4Sudbury Campaign.
