In Loving Memory of Audrey Mary (Nolan) Kirwan 91 years Who passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 25th, 2015. Beloved wife and best friend of Thomas. Loving mother of five children who are all residents of the City of Greater Sudbury, including Robert (Valerie), Frank (Pam), Carol (Clayton Bechard), Wayne and Janet (Gerald Ambeau). Cherished grandmother of Ryan, Warren, Marty, Tyler, Vanessa, Adam, Corey, Ashley, Katie and Shane. Treasured great grandmother of Hailee, Hannah, Cade, Brittney, Austin, Keelan, Aislin, Makenzie, Dakota, Riley, Karina and Lacey. Dear daughter of Frank “Pop” Nolan and Ella Maloney, both predeceased. Dear sister of Mary (Elmer Chapman) both predeceased and Colleen (Douglas Cluthie, predeceased). Born in Orillia, Ontario on February 19th, 1924, she and Thomas married in 1949, celebrating almost 66 years of life together as husband and wife. Audrey and Thomas have lived in Lively since 1955. She was a great lady who loved life and lived it to the fullest. She was involved with the Catholic Women’s League in Coniston, Sudbury and Lively, and was always an active member on the Executive Committee, serving in a variety of roles including President, Secretary and Treasurer. She was a member of the Christ the King Choir; was a member of the Walden Senior’s Club Executive and drove for Meals on Wheels for 12 years. Audrey loved golf and was a member of the Senior Bowling League in Walden where she bowled three games every Thursday right up until fall of 2014 – at the age of 90. She was always high-spirited and eager to help out wherever she could. Audrey loved her family and enjoyed being around them as much as possible. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were a joy to her, and they will miss the constant bowls of treats that were ever present on the coffee table. She was a very spiritual person who prayed for everyone. Her rosary was by her side as she left this world. She was well known in the community and will be missed by many. Resting at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home 233 Larch Street, Sudbury. (Friends may call 2-5; 7-9 P.M. Friday with prayers at 3:00 P.M. and after 10:00 A.M. Saturday) Funeral Prayers in the R.J. Cremation with interment in the family plot at St. Stanislaus Cemetery In lieu of flowers, donations to Meals on Wheels would be greatly appreciated.
