GIRARD, Bernadette (DUMONT)

Passed away in the loving arms of her special grandson André Jr. (Chum) at Extendicare York in Sudbury, Monday, March 30, 2015 at the age of 95 years. Wife of the late Arthur Girard. Predeceased by her parents Francois and Alphonsine (née Lagacé) Dumont. Beloved mother of Simone Chevrier (André), Jacqueline Girard, Ronald Girard (Carmen) and Pauline McDougall (Rob). Predeceased by her daughters Shirley Moore, Claire Luciw (late Fred) and by her four little angels. Predeceased by many brothers and sisters. Sadly missed by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Bernadette was a very proud woman that will be remembered as a devoted and loving mother. She enjoyed cooking, knitting and helping others. Special thanks to Dr. Kuchtaruk, York Extendicare 4th floor and palliative care for their loving caring compassion for Mom and her family. We praise their quality of nursing. Words cannot express how grateful we are. God bless all of you. In keeping with Bernadette’s wishes there will be no visitation or service. Internment and celebration of her life will take place at a later date in Cartier with Fr. Bob. Donations can be made (by cheque only) to the St-Jean-de-Brébeuf Restoration Fund.
