VACHON, Leopold

The family announces with great sorrow his passing in Barrie on Wednesday, February 5th, 2015 at the age of 81 years. Husband of the late Cécile (née Malette) Vachon. Son of the late Donat and the late Lina (née Beaudry) Vachon. Beloved father of Suzanne Barton (Alvin) and Gisèle Martin (Jim) both of Barrie, Gilles (Nicole) of Val d’Or, Michel “Mike” (Françoise) of (Chelmsford), Madeleine Sauvé (David Wharram) of (Sudbury) and Line Ménard (Mike) of (New Market). Predeceased by his brothers Rodolphe (late Claudette), Roland (late Laurence) and Hervé Vachon. Cherished grandfather of Eric, Lisa, Tyler, Patrick, Paul, Daniel, Steven, Shawn, Tina, Andrew and great-grandfather of Malachy, Elijah, Jason, William, Noah, Mackenzie, Hailey, Rilley, Mathieu, Philippe, Isabelle and Mia. He was an INCO retiree with 32 years of service. Leopold was an avid card player, hunter and fisherman. A funeral service will be held Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 4691 RR 15, Chelmsford.
