In loving memory of Don Elliott who died at the Maison Vale Hospice on April 13, 2015. Beloved husband of Sheila (nee Sahadat). Don is predeceased by his former wife, Bonnie (nee Milani), their son Junior, and his brothers, Terry and Albert. Don will be missed by many nieces and nephews and by relatives and friends. He was an employee of INCO from 1945 to 1982. He worked his way up from general handyman to a staff position of shift supervisor, then to general foreman. His duties took him to the Iron Ore Plant, the Copper Cliff Nickel, and the Copper Refinery. He was dedicated to his job and carried out his duties with a sense of pride and purpose. He enjoyed reading, travelling, camping, and arranging his collection of trains. He was a great lover of animals, especially his feline friends. Don enjoyed the beauty of nature with a deep sense of awe and wonder. Resting at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch St, Sudbury. Visitation on Sunday, April 19 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm and after 10:30 am Monday. Funeral service in the R.J. Barnard Chapel on Monday April 20 at 11:30. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. The family expresses its profound gratitude to the Maison Vale Hospice and all its staff for the compassionate care given to Don. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Maison Vale Hospice will be greatly appreciated.
