MESIMAKI-HONKANIEMI, A Mary (KONTOLA)

In Loving Memory of Mary Adeline Mesimaki-Honkaniemi (nee Kontola) 89 years Thursday, April 16th, 2015 at the Chapleau Hospital Beloved wife the late Matti Honkaniemi and predeceased by Toivo Mesimaki, Walter Wurster and Cyril Roche. Loving mother of Helen Russell (Steve), Donald Wurster (Veronica), Irene Noel (Marcel), Martin Wurster, Wendy Lee, Ellen Mesimaki and predeceased by Nancy Roche and Lauri Mesimaki. Cherished and loved Mummo and Grandma of numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents Lauri and Hilda Kontola. She will be missed and remembered by many friends and family in Canada and Finland. Mary is reunited with her precious canine companion Sasha. Mary was proud to have worked in an aircraft factory during World War II. She was a member of the Finnish Club, member of the Finnish Choir and the Finnish Rest Home Society. She liked to garden, listen to music and dance. Most of all she loved being with her family. Mary’s family admired her amazing memory and we thank her for giving us so many memories we will hold close in our hearts. Funeral Service in the R. J. Barnard Chapel Jackson & Barnard Funeral Home 233 Larch Street., Sudbury Wednesday, April 22nd, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. (Visitation on Tuesday, April 21st, 2015 from 2-5 & 7-9 p.m. and after 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday) Interment in the Civic Cemetery Donations to the St. Jean de Brebeuf Church in Sultan, Ontario would be appreciated by the family.
