Gino’s love of God, love of people, and love of life was evident in everything he did. On Friday, May 1st, 2015, surrounded by his loving family, Gino passed from this world into the arms of his Lord and Saviour and was raised to a glorious life. Beloved husband and best friend of Mirella Parisotto. Dear father of Ezio (Elizabeth), and Lorena (Luigi). Cherished Nonno of Carlo, Ariana, Stefano, Sabrina, and baby Antonia (predeceased). Dear son of Giuseppe and Maria (Bortignon) both predeceased. Dear brother of Primo (predeceased) (Anna), Egidio (predeceased) (Amelia), Bruno (Ida predeceased), Pietro (predeceased), Angelo (predeceased), Antonietta (Umberto), infant Guerrino (predeceased) and Guerrino (predeceased) (Valli). Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews both here in Canada and in Italy. Gino was born in Castello di Godego, Treviso, Italy. A hardworking man, Gino worked for INCO for 34 years and in his retirement with his wife he enjoyed gardening, cross country skiing, walking, and blueberry picking. He was always ready to lend a helping hand to all those in need. He was most proud of his wine making and always shared a glass with others. He had a true passion for his birds. Gino also loved to fill his home with music, song, and friends. On behalf of Gino and the family, we would like to thank the wonderful, caring staff on 4th Floor, North Tower, and the Palliative Care Unit at Health Sciences North.
