SOBCHUK, Mariette (BÉDARD)

The family announces with great sorrow her passing in Sudbury, Monday, May 4, 2015 at the age of 86 years. Predeceased by her parents Jérémie and Marguerite (née Boucher) Bédard. Beloved mother of Edna (Don Gibson) of Manitowaning. Predeceased by her son David Sobchuk (Hélène). Dear sister of Clarice Garlock and Jeannette Trottier both of Iroquois Falls, Hélène Bédard of Montreal, Qc., Gilberte Dupéré of Gatineau, Qc. and Noëlla Bédard of Nicolet, Qc. Predeceased by her siblings Rollande Bédard, Anita Tremblay, Jeanne Lauzon, Anna Bédard and Gilbert Bédard. Cherished grandmother of Renée Blais (Shawn) of Sudbury, Tanya Sobchuk of Kapuskasing and Eric Sobchuk of Iroquois Falls. She will be sadly missed by her devoted cousin Rita Provencher. Mariette enjoyed camping, fishing and gardening. Music also had a big part in her life, especially singing. She was very spiritual and devoted her time to the “Service des malades” and to those less fortunate. The family extends their sincere gratitude to the staff of Pioneer Manor for their dedicated service and care for over 15 years. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury, Monday, May 11, 2015 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Tuesday May 12, 2015 after 10 a.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at Ste-Anne-des-Pins Church, Sudbury.
