With great sorrow and heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Frank after a short illness at the North Bay Regional Health Centre, Saturday May 16th 2015 at the age of 84. Frank was the beloved husband of Margaret Cloutier, predeceased in 2000. Frank was also the proud and loving father of his only child Bob Morrow (Anna). He is also predeceased by parents Albert Morrow and Ida Bastien. He was the loving brother of Rita Leclair, predeceased by sisters Carol McKenzie (Francis), Judy Dufresne (Mike), and brother Gary Morrow. He will be so lovingly missed by his devoted grandchildren Danielle and Julia. Frank was born in Pembroke, Ontario in 1930. He worked for 36 years at INCO LTD at the smelter complex in Copper Cliff as a foreman, and was greatly respected by his fellow workers and peers. He was a veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces while peacekeeping after WWII, stationed in Hamburg Germany. He was a proud and long-standing member of the Royal Canadian Legion in Copper Cliff, and most recently of North Bay. He loved hockey, baseball, and curling, while coaching championship teams in hockey and baseball. He also loved to shoot pool and play cards, especially cribbage. His ultimate passion was fishing in both the summer and winter months, where he favoured his “happy place” in Moffet of Northern Quebec; here, he spent priceless summer vacations with family and friends. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and family that meant the world to him. He was a friend of many and an “adopted grandfather” to friends of the family, whom he always greeted with a quick smile, a witty comment, and a funny ditty. He had a heart of gold, and he definitely loved and lived for his family. We would like to thank Drs. Lamont and McKenna, CCU & A3 staff for the exceptional care and compassion that they showed during this difficult time. Memorial Visitation will be held at the Lougheed Funeral Home, 252 Regent Street at Hazel Street, Sudbury ON Friday May 22nd, 2015 from 7 to 9 pm and Saturday May 23rd, 2015 from 9:30 to 11:30 am, with Memorial Service to follow. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. A celebration of Frank’s life will be held on Sunday, May 24th, 2015 from 1pm to 3pm in the ONR Apartment Building, 665 Oak Street East, North Bay ON.
