In Loving Memory of Lauri Mikael Kivi 85 years Peacefully, surrounded by his family on Sunday, May 17th, 2015 at Health Sciences North. He is now reunited in heaven with his sweetheart and wife of 65 years, Rakel (predeceased 2014). Beloved son of Leonard and Lyydia Kivi both predeceased. Loving father of Kari (Nicole), Paivi (Paul), Juha (Sarranda), and Mika. Cherished Pappa of Bonnie (Steve), Kyle (Selina), Derek, Ryan, Kevin, Kourtney, Conner, Rachael, Tammy (Adrian), Qorban (Liz), and many great grandchildren. Dear brother of Annie and Liisa both of Finland. Lauri was born in Ylivieska, Finland, he was a proud tradesman, a stone mason in Finland, then a miner in Australia and finally worked for many years at INCO. He will be lovingly remembered for his good sense of humour, quick smile, and a love of fishing, especially with Rakel and the grandchildren. A Private Family Service will be held in the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home 233 Larch Street, Sudbury (No public visitation). Interment in the Whitefish Public Cemetery. Donations to the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated.
