In Loving Memory Of Thomas Keith Ferneyhough June 22nd, 1939- May 25th, 2015 It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Thomas Keith Ferneyhough in his 76th year, peacefully at home. After a very brave battle with heart disease, spanning 25 years, he succumbed to his illness. He endured three open-heart bypass surgeries, countless angioplasties and endless visits to the hospital. Loving husband of Winona (Nonie) (nee Sharpe) for 54 years. Cherished by his 3 daughters Laurie Labelle (Gilles), Linda O’Donnell (Neil), Lisa Eles (Tom) Beloved grandfather of Patrick Labelle (predeceased), Devon Labelle (Zack), Shane Labelle, and Celia O’Donnell all of Sudbury. Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Olive (nee Longpre) Ferneyhough, and his brother Terry (Nettie) Ferneyhough (both predeceased) all of Pembroke. Son in law of Elwood and Evelyn Sharpe (both predeceased) of Pembroke. Sadly missed by his sister in law Donna Patterson (Don) of Pembroke, and brother in law Dan Sharpe (Carolyn) of Williamsburg. Special uncle to Jeff Ferneyhough (Colleen) of Pembroke, Greg Patterson (Julie) of Boston, Shawn Patterson (Melissa) of Pembroke, Carol Anne Patterson and Scott Patterson of Pembroke (both predeceased), Kaleigh Sharpe and Curtis Sharpe of Quyon. He will also be missed by special cousins, great nieces and nephews, wonderful friends and fantastic neighbours. Keith worked at Inco for 30 years as a miner, retiring in 1991. He was an avid golfer, angler, and hunter. He had fond memories of hunting on the Island with the Hurteau family and friends. He enjoyed 20 years of camping at Vermillion River campsite with many close friends. Winters were spent vacationing in Zephyrhills, with their Florida family. Special thank you to the ladies from Bayshore for their warmth and compassion. Resting at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch St., Sudbury Friends may call from 2-5 and 7-9pm Friday and after 12 noon Saturday. Funeral service in the R.J.Barnard Chapel Saturday May 30 at 1:00 pm with a lunch to follow. Cremation with Interment in the family plot at the Valley East Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
