In Loving Memory of Michael James (Magoo) McGuire 71 years Peacefully, Thursday, May 28th, 2015 at Health Sciences North with loving family at his side. Beloved husband of Theresa (Vinette) McGuire. Loving father of Marian (husband Steve Fava), Jim (wife Laurie) and Jennifer Miller. Cherished Papa Mike and grandpa to Jake, Molly and Ben. Dear son of James and Mildred (Alfrey) McGuire predeceased. Dear brother of Colleen Penton (husband Bill) and Maureen Luoma (husband Dave). Dear brother in law of Norma Hausenblas (husband Fred). Special uncle to Peter, Heather, Robert and Kristin. Lovingly remembered by his cousin Heather Pressler (husband Roy) and their children Scott (wife Stephanie) and Jim. Born and raised in Copper Cliff, Mike married Theresa in 1966 at Holy Redeemer Church. A well respected businessman he owned and operated construction and mining equipment companies retiring from Algonquin Equipment in 2002. An avid outdoorsman, Mike enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and skiing. He spent many happy times at the family camp on Lake Penage. Mike will be remembered for his great sense of humour and his presence was always appreciated by others. Whether his at his hobby farm in the summer, on his RV trips to Florida and Texas in the winter, he loved life and lived it to the fullest. He was devoted to his family. The light of his life will be cherished by all who knew and loved him. Resting at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home 233 Larch Street, Sudbury (Friends may call 2-5; 7-9 P.M. Sunday with parish prayers 3:30 P.M. Sunday) Funeral Mass in St. Stanislaus Church, Copper Cliff Monday, June 1st, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Northern Cancer Foundation of the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
