In Loving Memory Of Fern Fernand Honoré Poisson Peacefully received by his Lord and Savior on Thursday, May 21st, 2015 at the age of 87. Beloved husband of Dora (Pelletier) predeceased. Loving father of Diane Leroux, Claude Poisson (wife Deborah) and Gille Poisson (wife Marie-Anne). Cherished grandfather of André, Mélanie and Sylvain. Dear son of Constan and Rachel (Brunet) Poisson both predeceased. Dear brother of Dollard, Joan, Sylvia and predeceased by Leona (Connie), Gérard, Elaine, Adolphe, Aldéric, Reina, Winifred and Claude. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Fern was born in Bryson, Quebec on May 20th, 1928 eventually settling in Sudbury where he met Dora and were married in 1954. They started their butcher business together called King Meats in the Flower Mill where he was best known for his porchettas and sausages. He had a great love for nature, especially hunting and fishing. Fern was a loving, kind and extremely generous man with a great sense of humor, always willing to tell a joke. The family would like to thank all the staff at St. Joseph’s Continuing Care and Circle of Care for their compassion and caring support. A Celebration of Fern’s life will be held in the R.J. Barnard Chapel Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home 233 Larch St., Sudbury Saturday, June 6th, 2015 at 1 p.m. (Friends may gather after 12:45pm)
