Larry was a dedicated teacher and coach who touched the lives of many students at CVDCS, Rayside, and Macdonald-Cartier. He retired from the Ministry of Education in 1993 and began another wonderful part of his life. He was always very active and enjoyed playing baseball, bowling, hockey, golf, pool and curling where he developed many life-long friendships that he cherished dearly. He was the life of a party, singing and dancing and was lovingly referred to as Johnny Cash and rubber legs. He loved to travel, especially to England to visit family and spent winters in Florida where he and Claudette celebrated their 36th wedding anniversary last December. He was always ready to lend a helping hand and will be fondly remembered by those who were lucky enough to have shared a part of his life. As so many of his friends have said in one way or another: “Larry was genuinely a great guy!”.
