In Loving Memory of Lorena Esther Solomon 50 years Wednesday, June 24th, 2015 at Health Sciences North, Sudbury. Beloved daughter of Flora (Nootchtai) Solomon and predeceased by Gloria Solomon. Loving sister of Dennis predeceased, David Sr., Earl (wife Sylvia), Matthew, Perry and Darren (friend Lorna). Special niece to Raymond, Ernest, Evelyn, Shirley, Prince, Margaret, Olive, Josephine and Rose (godmother) all predeceased. Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Lorena enjoyed spending time with Carter and Madison. Very special godmother to Madison and Tiffany. Lorena was a very active person who enjoyed various sports including baseball, badminton, tennis, biking, walking, golfing and skiing (cross country). Her hobbies were camping and fishing. She was a well respected and liked person who was active in community events. She was the manager of the Atikameksheng Community Complex and previously had worked at Aboriginal Health and Wellness in Ottawa. Resting at the Lougheed Funeral Home 252 Regent Street at Hazel Street (Friends may call 2-9 P.M. Friday with parish prayers 3:00 P.M. Friday) Funeral Mass in St. Christopher’s Church, Whitefish Saturday, June 27th, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. Interment in the Atikameksheng Anishnawbek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
